Angel Aura Quartz, also called Opal Aura, is bonded with platinum and silver for a soft, pearly, iridescent white finish. It is the gentlest of the family and the most popular. Traditionally used in meditation for connection with angels, higher guidance and inner wisdom, it is also strongly associated with releasing resentment and healing grief — which is why it is so often the piece people buy after a loss. It is a comforting stone during anxious or overwhelming moments and through life transitions.

Quartz is traditionally the great amplifier of the crystal world, and aura quartz is generally understood as quartz's amplifying nature combined with the qualities attributed to the bonding metal. That framing is why each variety has its own distinct reputation rather than all of them sharing one meaning.
