Chiastolite
Chiastolite, also known as the cross stone, is a variety of andalusite whose carbon inclusions form a natural dark cross through the centre of the crystal. Slice one across and the cross is right there, formed by the mineral itself. This collection gathers our chiastolite at Wholehearted Crystal Creations, in polished slices, tumbled stones and specimens.
The energy of Chiastolite
Chiastolite has been worn as a protection stone across many cultures, largely because of that cross. It is often used for steadiness during a crossroads, for protection while travelling or during change, and for facing something difficult without losing yourself in it. Many people keep it for transitions of every kind.
Ways to use Chiastolite
Carry a tumbled stone while you are deciding between two paths, keep a slice where you can see the cross, or hold one during meditation on a change you are moving through. Chiastolite pairs beautifully with black tourmaline for protection and with smoky quartz for grounding.
