Yooperlite

Yooperlite is a syenite rock shot through with fluorescent sodalite, and under an ultraviolet light it erupts in glowing orange veins like cracked lava. First identified along the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan, it takes its name from the Yoopers of the Upper Peninsula. This collection gathers our yooperlite at Wholehearted Crystal Creations, in raw and tumbled pieces.

The energy of Yooperlite

Yooperlite is the stone of hidden light, and the metaphor is hard to miss. Under ordinary light it looks like a plain grey rock. It is often used for self acceptance, for finding what is good in yourself when you cannot see it, and for easing anxiety by remembering that not everything is visible at once.

Ways to use Yooperlite

Shine a UV torch on it in a dark room, which is genuinely worth doing at least once, keep a piece where you need a reminder of your own worth, or hold one during meditation on self acceptance. Yooperlite pairs beautifully with sodalite, its glowing relative, and with amethyst for calm.
